Daily Bible Blessing-74

Shout for joy, O heavens; rejoice, O earth; burst into song, O mountains! For the Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones. (Isaiah 49:13)

If you have been troubled over the happenings of the past few days or if life in general seems pointless nowadays, this promise is for you. Though uttered more than 800 years before the birth of Jesus Christ, this promise still holds good for God's children. Our God is compassionate and comforts his people even today.
The Gospel writer Mathew writes this about Jesus, our Lord: When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick. (Matthew 14:14)
The Psalms are replete with verses where the Psalmists sing about God's compassionate nature.....
But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. (Psalm 86:15)
The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. (Psalm 103:8)
He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and compassionate. (Psalm 111:4)
The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. (Psalm 145:8)
.....and there are many more.
If you are suffering this day, be it from any cause, remember that....
As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.... (Psalm 103:13)
God will comfort you.
