Daily Bible Blessing-63

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. (Matthew 5:8)

Anyone desiring to see God, must take this to heart. A very simple statement, but the ultimate desire of God, regarding each one of us. Jesus, once saw a man approaching him and said this regarding him: "Here is a true Israelite, in whom there is nothing false." (John 1:47) The man (Nathaniel) was pleasantly surprised when he heard that and asked Jesus, "How do you know me?" and Jesus answered, "I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you."(John 1:48)
Everything about our lives is known minutely by the Lord. Nothing is hid from him. He knows exactly how pure we are in our hearts. We must all strive for purity in heart, trusting in the Lord's strength, rather than ours to remain pure.
David, the great king of Israel, understood this and prayed to the Lord, "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." (Psalm 51:10)
It's a prayer that each of us can pray to the Lord everyday.
Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure. (1 John 3:2, 3)
