Thoughts from Ecclesiastes- 2

The sun also rises, and the sun goes down, and hastens to the place where it arose. The wind goes toward the south and turns around to the north; the wind whirls about continually and comes again on its circuit. All the rivers run into the sea, yet the sea is not full; to the place from which the rivers come, there they return again. (Ecclesiastes 1:5-7)

Sometimes life can be dull and monotonous. The routines never end and the Preacher Solomon felt it at a certain juncture of his life. 700 wives and 300 concubines, life could never have been monotonous, one would say, but the fact was, his intimate relationship with God Almighty had been torn apart by his alliance with these very foreign and native women. Life became listless at some point.

Finding peace with, and contentment in God is vital for every human being. A vibrant relationship with God can make a dull worldly routine fade in to obscurity, for our focus is then on the Creator, rather than us. 70-80 years of living on this planet is just a preparation for an eternal life of mammoth proportions, provided one is in a right relationship with the Creator.
