James 5:11

Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord—that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.

James reminds us that endurance is not just about surviving hardship; it is about trusting God’s heart through it. The life of Job stands as a powerful testimony: though he lost everything, he did not lose his faith. In the end, God revealed His compassion and restored him beyond measure. This verse assures us that our trials are not meaningless; God’s purpose is wrapped in mercy. When we persevere, we position ourselves to witness His goodness in ways we could never imagine. Today, if you are in a season of waiting or suffering, hold on. The same Lord who was compassionate to Job is working tenderly in your life too.

देखो, हम धीरज धरनेवालों को धन्य कहते हैं। तुम ने अय्यूब के धीरज के विषय में तो सुना ही है, और प्रभु की ओर से जो उसका प्रतिफल हुआ उसे भी जान लिया है, जिससे प्रभु की अत्यन्त करुणा और दया प्रगट होती है।

याकूब हमें स्मरण कराता है कि धैर्य केवल कठिनाइयों को सहने का नाम नहीं है; यह उनके बीच परमेश्वर के हृदय पर भरोसा करने का नाम है। अय्यूब का जीवन एक शक्तिशाली गवाही है—उसने सब कुछ खो दिया, पर अपना विश्वास नहीं खोया। अंत में, परमेश्वर ने अपनी करुणा प्रकट की और उसे पहले से कहीं अधिक बहाल किया। यह वचन हमें आश्वस्त करता है कि हमारी परीक्षाएँ व्यर्थ नहीं हैं; परमेश्वर की योजना दया से भरी हुई है। जब हम धैर्य रखते हैं, तो हम उसकी भलाई को ऐसे अनुभव करने के योग्य बनते हैं जैसा हमने कभी सोचा भी नहीं था। आज यदि आप प्रतीक्षा या पीड़ा के समय से गुजर रहे हैं, तो थामे रहें। वही प्रभु जिसने अय्यूब पर दया की, वह आपके जीवन में भी कोमलता से कार्य कर रहा है।

സഹിഷ്ണത കാണിച്ചവരെ നാം ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ എന്നു പുകഴ്ത്തുന്നു. യോബിന്‍റെ സഹിഷ്ണത നിങ്ങൾ കേട്ടും കർത്താവു വരുത്തിയ അവസാനം കണ്ടുമിരിക്കുന്നു; കർത്താവു മഹാ കരുണയും മനസ്സലിവുമുള്ളവനല്ലോ.

സഹിഷ്ണത എന്നത് കഷ്ടപ്പാടുകളെ അതിജീവിക്കുക മാത്രമല്ല, അതിലൂടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുകയുമാണ് എന്ന് യാക്കോബ് നമ്മെ ഓർമ്മിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ഇയ്യോബിന്റെ ജീവിതം ശക്തമായ ഒരു സാക്ഷ്യമായി നിലകൊള്ളുന്നു: എല്ലാം നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടെങ്കിലും, അവൻ തന്റെ വിശ്വാസം നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടില്ല. അവസാനം, ദൈവം തന്റെ അനുകമ്പ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി അവനെ അളക്കാനാവാത്തവിധം പുനഃസ്ഥാപിച്ചു. നമ്മുടെ പരീക്ഷണങ്ങൾ അർത്ഥശൂന്യമല്ലെന്ന് ഈ വാക്യം നമുക്ക് ഉറപ്പുനൽകുന്നു; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഉദ്ദേശ്യം കരുണയിൽ പൊതിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു. നാം സ്ഥിരോത്സാഹം കാണിക്കുമ്പോൾ, നമുക്ക് ഒരിക്കലും സങ്കൽപ്പിക്കാൻ കഴിയാത്ത വിധത്തിൽ അവന്റെ നന്മയ്ക്ക് സാക്ഷ്യം വഹിക്കാൻ നാം നമ്മെത്തന്നെ സജ്ജമാക്കുന്നു. ഇന്ന്, നിങ്ങൾ കാത്തിരിപ്പിന്റെയോ കഷ്ടപ്പാടിന്റെയോ ഒരു കാലഘട്ടത്തിലാണെങ്കിൽധൈരപെടുക്ക. ഇയ്യോബിനോട് കരുണ കാണിച്ച അതേ കർത്താവ് നിങ്ങളുടെ ജീവിതത്തിലും ആർദ്രതയോടെ പ്രവർത്തിക്കും.
