Psalm 3:3
But you, O Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.

David was fleeing from his own son Absalom who wanted to be king in place of his father. Imagine living in fear of your own children. Absalom plotted against his father and succeeded for a while, but God's justice prevailed and David became king again.

We see David's trust in God here as he sings this psalm while fleeing from the palace. He believed that God was his shield, his glory and the one who lifts his head high.

Praise God if you have put your trust in Jesus Christ. If you are passing through troubled times, remember that he is your
shield, your glory and the one who lifts your head high. Keep trusting in him. He will give you victory over the problems that you are facing these days.

Exodus 23:25

Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you..

To the Israelites embarking on a great journey through the wilderness, God's promise to bless their food and water and to take away sickness from their midst must have been very comforting. God's condition was that they worship him.

The Israelites did go through many problems related to these because of their unfaithfulness to God.
One thing the Bible makes clear is God's faithfulness and most believers in Jesus Christ can vouch for that.

The Apostle Paul writes,
He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all, how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? (Romans 8:32)

Even today God is faithful to bless your food and water and remove sickness from your midst because his Son Jesus Christ paid the price on the cross for your salvation, healing and deliverance. He is your provider too.

Trust in God and his faithfulness to see you through the tough times you are going through.
