Thoughts from Ecclesiastes- 3

All things are full of labor; humans cannot express it. The eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing. (Ecclesiastes 1:8)

The 5 God given senses that humans possess: sight, smell, hearing, taste and touch keeps their world moving and only a person bereft of one of these is disadvantaged and at poverty regarding that area of his/her life. But some who possess all of these in totality often misuse them, taking for granted the great blessing that God has bestowed upon them.

The preacher Solomon here points out two vital organs, the eye and the ear, which he says are not satisfied with seeing and hearing respectively. Greed, lust and many other kinds of wickedness arise from the misuse of these two senses which God intended for the good of mankind and thus the world that we live in, is in a state of utter chaos; the end result being that the present earth and heavens are destined for total disaster and annihilation, which will bring in to fulfillment Biblical prophecy.

Nevertheless, there's hope for the one who has Jesus Christ as his/her Savior, because God has promised them a new heaven and a new earth where righteousness will last forever.

Best if we use our eyes and ears for the glory of God and for the good of our fellow humans.
