New Testament Bible Meditation- May 5 - Text & Audio

Romans Chapter 6 verses 1 to 11

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?

Or don't you know that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?

We were buried therefore with him through baptism to death, that just like Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.

For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection; knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.

For he who has died has been freed from sin.

But if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him; knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no more has dominion over him!

For the death that he died, he died to sin one time; but the life that he lives, he lives to God.

Thus also consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Those were verses 1 to 11 from Romans Chapter 6

Insight- It is God’s will that every believer in Jesus Christ walks in the newness of life, forsaking the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. If we have been buried with Jesus in water baptism and have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be a part of his resurrection. God wants us to be dead to sin and to be alive to him and be obedient to his word.

Question- Have you been baptized in water after accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior? Are you walking in the newness of life? Think about it.

Prayer- Dear Father in Heaven, strengthen me by your Holy Spirit to walk in the newness of life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
