Thoughts from the book of Isaiah-34

Isaiah 25:4 NIV
You have been a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in their distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat. For the breath of the ruthless is like a storm driving against a wall....

Have you made the Lord Jesus your refuge? There's no greater blessing than that and the benefits are not only for the here and now i.e. life on earth, but when your time on earth is over, you can live with God eternally.

When in distress,  we can cry out to the Lord and we can be assured that he will hear and answer.
King David, God's chosen, to lead his people, often found himself in distressing situations, but when he cried out to the Lord, the Lord delivered him.
He testifies....

Psalm 34:4, 6 NIV
I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. This poor man called, and the Lord heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles.

The Lord is near to all who call on him in truth. Make Jesus your refuge, if you have still not done so. He's the only one who can give you eternal life. Not only that, he will be your refuge, all through your life, here on earth. On the other hand, if he has been your refuge for long, be assured that he will stay faithful always.
