Isaiah 24:14-15 NIV
They raise their voices, they shout for joy; from the west they acclaim the Lord’s majesty. Therefore in the east give glory to the Lord; exalt the name of the Lord, the God of Israel, in the islands of the sea.
"They", here are the remnant that survives God's righteous judgement on the wicked and rebellious.
The Lord is merciful and righteous, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
Knowing this we must give glory to him for all that we have or achieve.
Before the Israelites entered the promised land of Canaan, God told them....
Deuteronomy 8:10, 17-18 NIV
When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you. You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.
Let us humble ourselves before this Almighty God and sing his praises, for it is from him that we have our being and our blessings.
