Brothers, I don't regard myself as yet having laid hold, but one thing I do. Forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13, 14)
Regarding the resurrection from the dead, the Apostle Paul says that it is his ardent desire to attain it. He admits that he has not yet attained it, but nothing is going to stop him from achieving it.
All of us can learn from the one decision that the Apostle takes here....forgetting the things which are behind and stretching forward to the things which are before, he is pressing on towards the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Let not the failures or mistakes of your past hinder you in your forward march towards the heavenly city, New Jerusalem. Be an overcomer.
